The founder of Zoe Schools and the Jacob Adebayo Afolayanka Resource Centre (JAARC), Rev. Niyi Adebayo, has announced the sale of the ultra-modern 550-capacity ICT/CBT Centre located in Abaa, Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo State. Rev. Niyi Adebayo said this during a press conference held today with newsmen, where the cleric revealed that the world-class facility is available for purchase either in whole or in part. The journey to this monumental project began in September 2004 when Adebayo and his wife started Zoe Schools with only 13 pupils. Today, the institution has grown exponentially to accommodate nearly 3,000 pupils and students operating across seven specialized centres in Ogbomosoland. Its extensive regulatory authorizations include the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), West African Examinations Council (WAEC), National Examinations Council (NECO), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). Furthermore, the centre is an authorized Certiport Testing Centre, is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and holds a Digital Learning Centre award from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

To maintain its elite status, the facility boasts premium ICT infrastructure designed to handle immense concurrent user traffic without system failure. The centre is fully stocked with 550 high-performance networked laptop computers running Windows 10, equipped with Core i5 to Core i7 processors and 4GB to 8GB of RAM. This computational power is backed by a high-speed Local Area Network, dual independent server rooms, enterprise server racks with UPS systems, and a flexible layout featuring a partitionable examination hall that can split into two independent 272-seat spaces.

Recognizing that digital operations require constant data transmission, JAARC relies on cutting-edge broadband connectivity including Starlink Business Internet, which pulls download speeds up to 220 Mbps. This is further complemented by an ongoing deployment of a dedicated Galaxy Backbone FibreNet connection to offer maximum bandwidth scalability. This robust internet ecosystem is supported by an equally resilient hybrid power system, featuring a brand new 150kVA diesel generator, a secondary 100kVA generator, a 64kVA solar backup system, and a centralized power control room to guarantee zero downtime.

The vision for this expansive facility was originally born out of a profound regional tragedy two years ago, when local students lost their lives in a road accident while traveling to distant towns to sit for their UTME. Driven by a pastoral passion to protect local youth, Adebayo originally planned a modest 250-capacity expansion to complement the existing centre at LAUTECH. The project was scaled up to its current 550-capacity design after two close business partners convinced him to build a unified mega-hub, alongside an adjacent 150-capacity modern student hostel, to maximize regional economic and training benefits.

However, the ambitious joint venture collapsed mid-way through construction when one partner failed to deliver his promised funding share, concealing the deficit until the project reached its halfway mark. Simultaneously, the second co-investor turned in her capital but abruptly recalled the entire sum less than four months later to fund an unexpected political campaign. This dual betrayal left the project in a massive financial deficit right at its peak development phase, threatening to halt construction entirely before the critical JAMB accreditation deadlines.

Faced with a breach of contract, Adebayo chose to respond with pastoral grace rather than pursuing prolonged litigation in a court of law. To protect the timeline and repay the exiting partner, he quickly sourced emergency institutional and individual bridge funding from various private sources. Regrettably, these emergency choices dissolved into predatory "shylock" loans, with lenders levying monthly interest rates of 6%, 7.5%, and up to 8%. The cleric candidly confessed to newsmen that this emotional funding decision was the worst business misstep of his 22-year entrepreneurial career.

The compound interest on these predatory facilities quickly outpaced the financial capacity of the enterprise, turning a highly successful venture into a debt trap. Adebayo emphasized that the decision to sell JAARC is strictly an emergency debt-clearance strategy and is absolutely not a result of low commercial patronage. In fact, the centre has experienced non-stop, heavy utilization since its opening day, running constant registration cycles, mock exams, and professional test bookings for thousands of candidates every month.

Beyond its high-revenue public exam schedules, JAARC operates as a critical hub for Zoe Schools, where over 2,000 pupils undergo digital literacy examinations every single term.
