OGBOMOSO SOUTH: WHY I AM RUNNING FOR OYO ASSEMBLY — NDC CANDIDATE SUNDAY ADEYEMO

Published on Wed 28 Oct 2026 By Akinwale Akintayo

The House of Assembly candidate for Ogbomoso South constituency under the National Democratic Congress, Buoda Sunday Adeyemo, has revealed the deeply personal motivations behind his legislative ambition, describing his political bid as a debt of gratitude to the city that adopted him.

According to a comprehensive report monitored by THENEWSCREDIT from his official social media handle, Adeyemo reflected on his journey from northern Nigeria to the ancient Yoruba city,Ogbomoso, highlighting how a 2003 admission into the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology transformed his life and inspired his political career.

Born and raised in Suleja, Niger State, where he attended Model Primary School and Bishop James Yisa Memorial Secondary School, Adeyemo credited his early northern upbringing with instilling in him business discipline and a quiet purpose. However, he noted that his relocation to Ogbomoso over two decades ago marked a defining turning point in his life.

According to the LAUTECH alumnus, despite arriving as a young outsider who knew neither the streets nor the local language, the community embraced him warmly, allowing him to establish deep personal and professional roots.

THENEWSCREDIT reports that while many of his contemporaries migrated to larger metropolitan hubs after graduation in search of wider networks, the engineer-turned-politician chose to stay behind to address critical developmental gaps in the area.

Over the years, Adeyemo has successfully established localized enterprises and philanthropic initiatives in the community, notably founding Trinity Innovations and the BSA Foundation.

Adeyemo emphasized that his decision to contest for the Oyo State House of Assembly is born out of a genuine love for the city rather than mere political opportunism. He maintained that having spent his formative career years investing in the local soil during difficult seasons, he is uniquely positioned to fight for the interest of his constituents.

THENEWSCREDIT underscores his concluding appeal, where he urged residents to reflect on their own community roots while promising a leadership grounded in long-term commitment, loyalty, and inclusive development for the people of Ogbomoso South.
