2027: Betrayal Looms As APC Governors, Cabinet Members Will Secretly Work With Atiku – Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu

Published on Sun 25 Oct 2026 By Akinwale Akintayo

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a stark warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alerting him to potential betrayal from key allies within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and his own cabinet.

In a statement released on Sunday by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric claimed that several APC governors and top cabinet members are already secretly strategising to support former Vice President Atiku Abubakar ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

According to Primate Ayodele, Atiku is also actively building alliances with influential politicians in the United States to secure victory in the next general election.

Tinubu shouldn`t be surprised that some governors he relies on, alongside certain members of his cabinet, will work with Atiku secretly, Ayodele stated, adding that the former Vice President is planning extensively with American backing.

Turning his attention to electoral readiness, the cleric cast doubt on the Independent National Electoral Commission`s (INEC) capacity to deliver a transparent vote, claiming the current timeline is deeply flawed. He warned that proceeding under the current arrangement could plunge the nation into widespread unrest and logistical chaos.

INEC is not ready to conduct a credible election, and the exercise risks being marred by violence and disappointment, the statement read. The chosen date is not spiritually aligned for an election that will produce the right leader. We face the prospect of serious violence, fake ballot papers, rampant rigging, and inconclusive results across several states.

Primate Ayodele further urged President Tinubu to take immediate, drastic steps to address the nation`s severe economic challenges, warning that current intervention strategies are unsustainable and could trigger an unprecedented rise in inflation.

The economic hardship will intensify, and the current strategy to fight it is simply not sustainable, the cleric warned. The President cannot do this alone; his ministers must step up. Inflation is set to rise significantly, and public dissatisfaction will grow. The administration may dismiss this warning now, but time will tell.
