The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has commended Nigerian fathers for their invaluable contributions to family cohesion, social stability, and national development on the occasion of Father’s Day.

In a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedu, the IGP recognized the leadership and dedication demonstrated by fathers in raising responsible citizens and strengthening the nation`s moral foundations. He noted that the daily sacrifices made by fathers in providing guidance, protection, and support remain essential for nation-building and national progress.

The police boss paid special tribute to police officers who balance their demanding national security duties with their roles as dedicated parents. Despite spending long hours away from home, these officers continue to serve as vital role models within their families.

The IGP wished all fathers good health and wisdom, while urging citizens to honor the enduring influence of fathers in creating a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
