Olayinka’s reaction followed the decision reportedly reached by delegates at the convention to expel his principal, Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, PDP National Secretary, Senator Sam Anyanwu, and the party’s Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade
Others listed for expulsion include the PDP National Organising Secretary, Umaru Bature; former Vice Chairman, South-South, Dan Orbih; South-South Zonal Secretary, George Turner; North Central Vice Chairman and factional Acting National Chairman of the party, Abdulrahman Mohammed; Imo State Chairman, Austin Nwachukwu; former presidential aspirant and factional Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa; and Abia PDP Chairman, Abraham Ammah.
Olayinka further described the convention as a “social party,” alleging that the “intoxicated” delegates were merely making baseless proclamations.
“They gathered in Ibadan to do a social party, enjoyed themselves, and got intoxicated; they are free to say anything,” he added.
THENEWSCREDIT reports that over 3,000 delegates are currently attending the party’s National Convention in Ibadan, scheduled for November 15 and 16, 2025, despite court orders stopping the exercise
