Security Chiefs Storm Oriire After Bandit Raid: Schools Closed Across Four Oyo LGAs as Five Teachers Remain Missing.

  A high-powered security delegation has descended on Ahoro-Esinele in the Oriire Local Government Area of Ogbomoso following a deadly Friday morning assault by bandits on three local schools.

The emergency response team includes:Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and TechnologyOyo State Commissioner of PoliceGeneral Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Mechanised Division, Nigerian Army.

The coordinated early-morning raid targeted Community High School (CHS) Ahoro-Esinele, L.A. Basic School, and a private school in neighboring Yawota.

Primary school teacher Joel Adesiyan and an unnamed student were shot and killed during the assault.

Bandit forces abducted CHS Principal Mrs. Rachael Alamu alongside an unverified number of students and pupils.

 officials confirm five teachers remain completely unaccounted for.

The attackers fled the scene using the principal`s personal vehicle, which security forces later recovered burnt out in a nearby forest.

The joint security visit failed to establish the exact number of missing children due to the ongoing chaos in the community. No ransom demands or contact have been made by the captors.

In reaction to the security breach, the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) ordered an immediate, indefinite shutdown of public primary schools in vulnerable areas.

OYOSUBEB Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, announced mandatory closures in four specific Local Government Areas:OriireSurulereOyo EastOlorunsogo.

Dr. Adeniran stated that the school closures are a temporary preventative measure. This allows military and police units to comb the forests, stabilize the region, and track the attackers without risking secondary incidents.
