GO AFTER TERROR SPONSORS IN 90 DAYS OR RESIGN, ADEBOYE TELLS SERVICE CHIEFS

Urges Tinubu to seek 100-day diplomatic grace from US

Warns against shielding President from security realities

LAGOS — The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on President Bola Tinubu to issue a strict 90-day ultimatum to the nation’s security chiefs to completely eradicate terrorism and unmask their sponsors, or face immediate dismissal.

Adeboye, who spoke during a church service, stated that the escalating security challenges require decisive leadership and immediate, actionable deadlines rather than optimistic speeches.

Target the Financiers

The cleric emphasized that any meaningful solution to the security crisis must involve targeting the wealthy and influential individuals financing the criminal networks.

"If I had the opportunity to advise the President, I would tell him to call the service chiefs and give them 90 days to get rid of all terrorists and their sponsors," Adeboye said. "If they fail to deliver within this timeframe, they should be asked to resign immediately."

He recalled offering a similar three-month ultimatum advice to former President Muhammadu Buhari, noting, however, that the previous administration lacked the necessary follow-through to enforce the directive.

Diplomatic Engagement with US

Beyond internal military strategies, the RCCG General Overseer urged the Federal Government to swiftly engage the United States government to secure a 100-day diplomatic window to resolve the crisis internally.

Warning of the severe consequences of foreign military intervention, Adeboye cautioned that Nigeria must move with wisdom. He noted that if the US or any other global superpower decides to intervene militarily due to prolonged instability, no other international power would step in to rescue the nation.

A Call for Sincerity

Adeboye further urged presidential aides and advisers to be honest with the Commander-in-Chief regarding the true state of national security. He warned against shielding the President from reality, stressing that the administration must face the crisis head-on.

"Move fast. Move diplomatically. Move wisely," Adeboye charged the government, adding that Nigerians expect real action to secure lives and property across the country.
