The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Monday, when armed men ambushed motorists along the highway, a key route linking communities in Kwara South to the state capital, Ilorin.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said she is yet to be briefed and promised to get back to THENEWSCREDIT.
